Week 4: AAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Dustin Blevins of Montreat and Ethan Stamey of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 18.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Dustin Blevins - Montreat - Soph. - King, N.C.
- Hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the long jump with a leap of 7.49 meters, winning the event at the LR Bears Invitational.
- Collected an NAIA 'B' standard in the triple jump with a distance of 14.54 meters to place second.
- This is his second weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Ethan Stamey - Montreat - Fr. - Franklin, N.C.
- Posted a time of 15:01.42 in the 5000, breaking the school record by 6.77 seconds.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
