Week 2: AAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Dustin Blevins of Montreat and Sharod Cobb of Truett McConnell are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 4.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Dustin Blevins - Montreat - Soph. - King, N.C.
- Hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the long jump with a leap of 7.26 meters.
- Won the long jump and triple jump at the Montreat College Invitational.
- Scored an NAIA 'B' standard in the triple jump with a distance of 14.40 meters
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Sharod Cobb - Truett McConnell - Sr. - Waycross, Ga.
- Won the 400 hurdles at the Emory Invite and secured an NAIA 'A' Standard with a time of 53.75 seconds.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
