FOURmidable: Milligan Wins Fourth Consecutive Indoor Title in Dominating Fashion
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Milligan put together a commanding performance en route to winning the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Track & Field championship on Tuesday.
The two-day event was held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Milligan tallied 260 points, making it the highest point total in indoor championship history. The previous high was 219 points by Milligan in 2023. The Buffaloes also recorded the largest margin of victory as it beat second-place Montreat by 155 points. The previous largest margin of victory was 41 points by Montreat in 2019.
This is also Milligan's fourth consecutive indoor title and its fourth overall, tying it with Montreat which also has four of the eight indoor titles.
Of the six records set, Bryn Woodall of Milligan collected three of them. He posted records in the 1000 (2:23.74), 3000 (8:16.43), and mile (4:14.90). Woodall also set the facility and collegiate record in the 1000. He also won with the DMR team, giving him a total of four gold medals as he was named the Most Outstanding Athlete.

- 3000 race walk - Dorde Racic (Columbia), 12:58.30
- 600 - Luis Peralty (Milligan), 1:20.03
- Weight throw - David Exum (Pikeville), 17.87 meters
The other individual award winners were Peralta as the Track Athlete of the Year, Zeke Hagley of Pikeville as the Field Athlete of the Year, David Exum of Pikeville as the Newcomer of the Year, and JT Neal of Reinhardt as the Freshman of the Year. The Milligan coaching staff was named the Staff of the Year.
