Three-Peat: Milligan Wins Third Men's Indoor Championship in a Row

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Milligan steadily collected points and pulled away from the field on its way to winning the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field championship on Friday.

The two-day event was held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Milligan finished with 184.5 points to claim its third consecutive team title, finishing ahead of Montreat (157 points) and Reinhardt (106 points). Columbia (64 points) and Columbia International (51 points) round out the top five.

In all, there were two meet records set. Aaron Jones of Milligan set the mark in the 5000 with a time of 14:42.13, while Dylan Branch of Montreat won the 3000 with a record time of 8:19.55.

After winning the 60, the triple jump, and the long jump, Dustin Blevins of Montreat was named the Most Outstanding Athlete.

The other individual award winners were Will Stockley of Milligan as the Track Athlete of the Year, Andrew Paolozzi of Reinhardt as the Field Athlete of the Year, Romario Taylor of Milligan as the Newcomer of the Year, and Eli Moran of Bryan as the Freshman of the Year. The Milligan coaching staff was named the Staff of the Year.
