Back-To-Back: Milligan Repeats as Men's Indoor Champion

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Milligan and Montreat battled back and forth the entire meet, but it was the Buffaloes who came out on top to repeat as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Friday.

The two-day event was held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

This is the Buffaloes' second overall indoor championship.

Milligan amassed 219 points to outpace second-place Montreat, which finished with 189. Tennessee Wesleyan (106 points) took third with Reinhardt (86 points) and Columbia (51 points) rounding out the top five.

Earning the individual awards were Dario Laing of Columbia International as Freshman of the Year, R.J Terry of Montreat as Newcomer of the Year, Bryn Woodall of Milligan as Track Athlete of the Year, and Dustin Blevins of Montreat as Field Athlete of the Year. The Milligan coaching staff was named the Staff of the Year.

Laing placed second in the 60 hurdles and helped the 4x400 relay team to a third-place finish.

Terry won the 60 and was second in the 200.

Woodall won the mile, the 1000, and the 3000. He set the meet and collegiate facility record in the 1000.

Blevins won the long jump and triple jump - setting the meet record in the triple jump.

No meet records were set on Friday.
