Week 4: AAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Dustin Blevins of Montreat and Ruchen Blaauw of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2022-23 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 13.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Dustin Blevins - Montreat - Junior - King, N.C.
- Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the long jump and triple jump at the Camel City Invitational.
- Won the long jump with a leap of 7.49 meters.
- Won the triple jump with a distance of 15.22 meters.
- This is his third weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Ruchen Blaauw - Montreat - Sophomore - Cape Town, South Africa
- Posted an NAIA 'A' Standard in the 1000 with a time of 2:26.61 at the Camel City Invitational.
- Helped the Distance Medley Relay team to a second-place finish with a time of 10:07.51, which is also an NAIA 'A' Standard.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
