Milligan Leads AAC with 10th-Place Finish at NAIA Indoor Nationals
BROOKINGS, S.D. - Milligan proved to be the top Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) team at the 2022 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship Meet as the Buffaloes placed 10th.
In all five AAC teams posted points at nationals. Milligan collected 21 points to land 10th. Montreat was next in line in 22nd place with 14 points, while Columbia International was 32nd with 10.5 points. Tennessee Wesleyan came in 44th with five points, and Union rounded out the field in 47th with four points.
Earning NAIA All-American honors from the AAC are:
- From Milligan - Sylas Chambers (sixth, 800, 1:53.48); Will Stockley (fourth, 1 mile, 4:09.51); Bryn Woodall (third, 3000, 8:19.33); Aaron Jones (fourth, 5000, 14:36.66); Stockley, Chambers, Alex Windham, and Woodall (seventh, DMR, 10:03.79);
- Montreat - Dustin Blevins (second, triple jump, 14.97 meters); Blevins (third, long jump, 7.54 meters);
- Columbia International - Deandre Leith (third, shot put, 17.14 meters); Blake Rimmer (tied-fourth, pole vault, 4.75 meters);
- Tennessee Wesleyan - Tevon Shuler (fourth, triple jump, 14.83 meters);
- Union - Myles Lincoln (fifth, triple jump, 14.73 meters).
