Indoor Track & Field Championships Set to Begin Thursday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet is set to take place Thursday and Friday at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Fans are allowed to attend and admission is free. There is an indoor mask mandate in Winston-Salem, so masks must be worn indoors unless actively exercising, eating, or drinking.

This is the fifth year of the championships, and the fourth they have been held in Winston-Salem, N.C. Last year, the championships were held in Louisville, Ky.

Montreat is going for its fifth men's title in a row, while Columbia is looking to defend its women's championship.

The two-day event is scheduled to begin Thursday at 6 p.m. and conclude on Friday afternoon.
