Week 4: AAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Tevon Shuler of Tennessee Wesleyan and Ethan Stamey of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2021-22 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 15.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Tevon Shuler - Tennessee Wesleyan - Soph. - Dacula, Ga.
- Hit the NAIA 'A' Standard in the triple jump with a distance of 14.31 meters at the Buccaneer Invitational.
- Placed second in the triple jump and was seventh in the long jump (6.67 meters).
- Recorded a personal best in the long jump.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Ethan Stamey - Montreat - Fr. - Franklin, N.C.
- Posted an NAIA 'B' Standard in the 5,000 with a time of 15:07.88 at the Camel City Invitational.
- Placed ninth in the 5,000 but was the top NAIA finisher in the event.
- Set the school record in the event.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
