Week 3: AAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Hank Yelton of Montreat and Will Stockley of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2021-22 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 8.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Hank Yelton - Montreat - Jr. - Morganton, N.C.
- Won the Heptathlon at the VMI Winter Relays.
- Total score of 4,212 is an NAIA B Standard.
- Set a program record for total score in the Heptathlon.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Will Stockley - Milligan - Grad. - Twickenham, United Kingdom
- Won the mile at the VMI Winter Relays.
- Posted a time of 4:12.87 for an NAIA 'A' Standard.
- Time is tops in the AAC and ranked No. 8 in the NAIA.
- This is his third weekly award this season.
