Week 2: AAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Anthony Symile of Union and Will Stockley of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Indoor Field and Track Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2021-22 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Jan. 25.
AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Anthony Symile - Union - Soph. - Frankfield, Jamaica
- Finished third in two events at the Bellarmine Open.
- Recorded a throw of 14.45 meters in the shot put.
- Had a toss of 15.08 meters in the weight throw.
- Was the only NAIA competitor in both events.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Track Athletes of the Week
Will Stockley - Milligan - Grad. - Twickenham, United Kingdom
- Record two first-place finishes at the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational.
- Won the 1000 with a time of 2:30.51, which is an NAIA 'B' Standard.
- Helped the 4x800 relay team to a win with a time of 8:00.86.
- This is his second weekly award this season.
