Kennedy Named Head Coach for Milligan Tennis Programs

MILLIGAN, Tenn. – Milligan University Director of Athletics Christian Pope is pleased to announce Bart Kennedy as the new head coach for the Buffalo tennis programs.

Kennedy was the lead assistant for the tennis programs for the past two seasons and took over as the interim head coach during the 2024 campaign.  Additionally, Coach Kennedy's daughter Macy is a senior on the tennis team at Milligan.

During the 2024 season, the Milligan men's team received votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll as the team finished fourth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) during the regular season and went 8-12. The women's team went 9-11 overall and finished sixth in the AAC.

Kennedy is a U.S. Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) elite pro with experience at the GCTC in Greeneville, Holston Hills Country Club, Tri-Cities Tennis Academy and is the former head tennis coach at Greeneville High School. He graduated from Tusculum with a business degree.
