TWU's Volpi Earns NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Octavio Volpi of Tennessee Wesleyan has been named the NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Volpi was selected based on his performance(s) from April 8-14 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group and independent institution nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Octavio Volpi, Tennessee Wesleyan - Jr.

• Went 5-0 on the week with wins at No. 1 singles and doubles
• Helped the Bulldogs to the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament title
• Scored the championship-clinching point against No. 9-ranked Reinhardt (Ga.)
• Named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year
