TWU's Volpi Earns NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Octavio Volpi of Tennessee Wesleyan has been named the NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Volpi was selected based on his performance(s) from April 8-14 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group and independent institution nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

Octavio Volpi, Tennessee Wesleyan - Jr.
- Went 5-0 on the week with wins at No. 1 singles and doubles
- Helped the Bulldogs to the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament title
- Scored the championship-clinching point against No. 9-ranked Reinhardt (Ga.)
- Named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year
