Braham Named CSC Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas - Just a few weeks after garnering College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® recognition, Anouar Braham of Montreat men's tennis kept the accolades coming as the Sousse, Tunisia native snatched a spot on the CSC Academic All-America® Second Team, that according to a release from the national organization early Wednesday afternoon.
During the 2023 season, Braham proved to be a reliable option on the No. 2 court. Braham notched an impressive 8-3 record in singles action, and he also teamed up with fellow Cavalier Luigi Moretti for a 7-4 record in the top doubles spot throughout the year.
Sports information directors and athletic communicators from across the NAIA voted amongst the pool of Academic All-District® winners to select the 14 CSC Academic All-America® honorees, of which Braham was one. The upperclassman's Academic All-America® nod is the sixth such award in Montreat history.

The CSC Academic All-America® program strives to recognize the nation's top student-athletes across four divisions—NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA—for their combined performances in athletic competition and the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must be a starter or an important reserve, hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, have attended his or her current institution for a full calendar year and own at least sophomore athletic eligibility status.
Ending the year with a 7-6 (6-4 AAC) record, the Montreat men's tennis team concluded its 2023 season by receiving votes in the final NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
