TWU to Face Montreat for Men's Tennis Crown
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Tennessee Wesleyan and Montreat are set to meet in the 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Tennis Tournament championship match after both won their semifinal matches on Friday.
The tournament is being held at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
No. 1 seed Tennessee Wesleyan made short work of fourth-seeded Reinhardt, winning 4-0. However, No. 2 seed Montreat had a time with third-seeded Union as it narrowly pulled out a 4-3 win. Montreat led the match 3-1 before Union picked up the next two singles wins to even the ledger at 3-3. Yet, Luigi Moretti pulled out a three-set victory at No. 4 singles, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
The championship match begins Saturday at 2 p.m.

Match 2 - No. 2 Montreat vs. No. 7 SCAD Atlanta, 4-0
Match 3 - No. 3 Union vs. No. 6 Milligan, 4-0
Match 4 - No. 4 Reinhardt vs. No. 5 Point, 4-1
Friday, April 15 - All Matches will not begin before 2 p.m.
Match 5 - No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan def. No. 4 Reinhardt, 4-0
Match 6 - No. 2 Montreat def. No. 3 Union, 4-3
Saturday, April 16 - Match will not begin before 2 p.m.
