Tennessee Wesleyan Outduels Reinhardt for 2021 Men's Tennis Tournament Title
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Second-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan stood tall on Saturday and defeated No. 1 seed Reinhardt for the 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Tennis Tournament championship.
The tournament was held at the Champions Club Tennis Complex in Chattanooga, Tenn.
During the regular season, Tennessee Wesleyan handed Reinhardt its only conference loss with a 4-3 decision. And the battle was just as fierce on Saturday as Tennessee Wesleyan fended off Reinhardt for the 4-2 victory.
This is Tennessee Wesleyan's first tournament title since the AAC resumed hosting a conference tournament in 2014.
With the win, Tennessee Wesleyan receives an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament, which is set for May 18-22 in Mobile, Ala.
