Milligan Scores Third-Place Finish; Union, WVU Tech Finish in Top 20
ELKHART, Ind. - Three Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) teams placed in the top 20 at the 2025 NAIA Men's Swimming & Diving Championship Meet.
The four-day event was held at the Beacon Health Elkhart Aquatic Center in Elkhart, Ind., March 5-8.
Milligan scored a podium finish as it amassed 343.5 points to place third. Union Commonwealth finished 10th with 163 points, and WVU Tech collected 35 points to place 16th.
Enzo Constable of Union Commonwealth was the highest-scoring individual for the AAC as he amassed 46 points in large part to two second-place showings.
Milligan scored an individual national championship in the 200 free relay. The team of Paxton Smith, Caleb Fry, Joash Mckonie, and Stephen Gilbert won the event with a time of 1:19.82.
Several individuals earned NAIA All-America Team honors. The honorees are:
- 200 medley relay – Milligan (Paxton Smith, Caleb Fry, Joash Mckonie, Stephen Gilbert), second (1:27.42)
- 800 free relay – Milligan (Robert Adam, Gellert Szedlak, Andre Bazzana, Stephen Gilbert), fifth (6:39.21)
- 500 free – Abel Eszenyi, Union Commonwealth (seventh, 4:35.20)
- 200 IM – Robert Adam, Milligan (second, 1:48.09); Xavier Trovesi, WVU Tech (sixth, 1:50.79)
- 50 free – Enzo Constable, Union Commonwealth (seventh, 20.31)
- 200 free relay – Milligan (Paxton Smith, Caleb Fry, Joash Mckonie, Stephen Gilbert), first (1:19.82)
- 400 IM – Xavier Trovesi, WVU Tech (fourth, 3:57.41); Abel Eszenyi, Union Commonwealth (sixth, 3:59.21)
- 100 fly – Enzo Constable, Union Commonwealth (second, 47.56); Joash Mckonie, Milligan (fifth, 48.45); Sergio Tudor, Milligan (eighth, 48.70)
- 100 breast – Caleb Fry, Milligan (second, 53.92); Robert Adam, Milligan (fifth, 55.59)
- 100 free – Enzo Canstable, Union Commonwealth (second, 43.71)
- 200 breast – Caleb Fry, Milligan (second, 1:59.00)
- 1650 free – Abel Eszenyi, Union Commonwealth (third, 15:41.08); Morgan Roszel, Milligan (eighth, 16:00.46)
- 400 free relay – Milligan (Michael Rinaldi, Paxton Smith, Caleb Fry, Stephen Gilbert), second (2:58.97)
To earn All-American honors, an individual must finish in the top eight of an event.
