Milligan Wins Fifth Consecutive Men's Swimming Championship
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Milligan won its fifth consecutive Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Swimming Championship, finishing with 1,010 total points.
The three-day event was held in Kingsport, Tenn. at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in the HMG Competition Pool.
Rounding out the team scores, Union finished second with 692 points, WVU Tech third with 427 points, Columbia fourth with 188 points, and Pikeville fifth with 140 points.
Enzo Constable of Union Commonwealth is the Men's Swimmer of the Meet and the Men's Freshman of the Year, and Spencer Scarth of Milligan is the Coach of the Year.
Five records were set on the final day. They were:
- 1650 freestyle - Abel Eszenyi (Union Commonwealth), 15:48.43
- 200 backstroke - Stephen Gilbert (Milligan), 1:48.53
- 100 freestyle - Enzo Constable (Union Commonwealth), 44.32
- 200 breaststroke - Robert Adam (Milligan), 2:02.34
- 400 freestyle relay - Milligan (Joash Mckonie, Paxton Smith, Caleb Fry, Stephen Gilbert), 3:02.50
