KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Milligan continued its dominance and won the 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday.

The three-day event was held at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in the HMG Competition Pool in Kingsport, Tenn.

This is Milligan's third consecutive men's swimming championship.

Peter Gilbert of Milligan was named the 2022-23 AAC Freshman of the Year and the 2022-23 AAC Swimmer of the Year. Spencer Scarth of Milligan is the AAC Coach of the Year.

Milligan amassed 1,034 total points to claim the title. WVU Tech was second with 559 points.

Three records were were set. There were:

• 1650 Free - Peter Gilbert (Milligan), 16:02.25;
• 200 Fly - Stephen Gilbert (Milligan), 1:49.01;
• 400 Free Relay - Milligan (Stephen Gilbert, Jayden Bearden, Andre Bazzana, Caleb Fry), 3:04.40.

Here are the rest of Saturday's winners:

• 200 Back - Stephen Gilbert (Milligan), 1:52.00;
• 100 Free - Guillermo Usechi Elizari (WVU Tech), 45.88;
• 200 Breast - Ben Hawkins (Milligan), 2:05.03.
