Week 5: AAC Swimmers of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Andre Bazzana of Milligan and Maggie Blazo of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the fifth edition of the awards for the 2021 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Jan. 31.
AAC Men's Swimmer of thWeek
Andre Bazzana - Milligan - Freshman - Guarulhos, Brazil
- Logged three individual NAIA 'B' cuts.
- Won the 200 free (1:43.92), while placing second in the 100 fly (51.38) and 200 fly (1:57.47).
- Helped Milligan to an "A" cut in the 200 medley relay (1:35.92).
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Maggie Blazo - Milligan - Graduate - Lexington, S.C.
- Posted NAIA "B" cuts in the 50 free (25.50), 100 free (55.66), and 200 free (1:58.68).
- Placed second in the 50 free and 200 free, took third in the 100 free.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
