AAC Places 74 on NAIA Scholar Athlete List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athletes on Friday. The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) is represented by 74 honorees.

Columbia International led the AAC with 15 honorees with Reinhardt following with 10. Truett McConnell had nine, Bluefield eight, and Bryan, Milligan, Montreat, and Pikeville each landed six on the list. Rounding out the list are Kentucky Christian with five and Tennessee Wesleyan with three.

The 2023 list features 1032 student-athletes, spread across 156 institutions, who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
