WALESKA, Ga. - Wynand Wessels of Tennessee Wesleyan and Jett Carter of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the 11th and final edition of the awards for the 2023 season.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Wynand Wessels - Tennessee Wesleyan - Junior - Pretoria, South Africa
- Helped keep Columbia International out of the net as Tennessee Wesleyan won 1-0 in the AAC Tournament quarterfinal round.
- Had the assist on the game-winning goal.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Jett Carter - Milligan - Senior - Dickson, Tenn.
- Scored the game-winner in the 106th minute of Milligan's 1-0 AAC Tournament quarterfinal match against Reinhardt.
- Had 4 total shots with 2 on goal.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
