Week 9: AAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Michael Garrihy of Tennessee Wesleyan and Oscar Brennan of Truett McConnell are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the ninth edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 30.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Michael Garrihy - Tennessee Wesleyan - Senior - Lisdoonvarna, Ireland
- Made 11 saves as Tennessee Wesleyan went 0-0-2 on the week.
- Had 4 saves in a 2-2 draw against Union.
- Posted 7 saves in a 0-0 draw at Milligan.
- This is his fourth weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Oscar Brennan - Truett McConnell - Junior - Rathoe, Ireland
- Recorded 1 goal and 3 assists as Truett McConnell went 2-0 on the week.
- Had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Bryan.
- Assisted on both goals in a 2-1 win over Montreat.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
