Webber's Murphy, Sheaffer Named NAIA Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Nick Sheaffer of Webber International (Fla.) has been named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Liam Murphy of Webber International (Fla.) was selected as the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week are selected based on performances from February 24 - March 2 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
NAIA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Nick Sheaffer, Webber International (Fla.) - SO - Midfielder
- Sheaffer had the hat tricks this week as he helped the Warriors to a pair of victories on the road.
- With eight points against (RV) Life (Ga.), he tallied six goals, and two assists.
- Against No. 3 Reinhardt (Ga.), he added three more goals, bringing his total to nine scored for the week.
NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Liam Murphy, Webber International (Fla.) - JR - Goalkeeper
- Murphy was a wall between the sticks last week for the Warriors in two big games.
- He opened the week with ten saves over (RV) Life (Ga.), picking up the 15-9 win, then ran it back with eight saves against No. 3 Reinhard (Ga.) for the 10-5 victory.
- Overall, he posted 18 saves, 6.06 goals against average, and a save percentage of 60.
