Seven AAC Teams Receive Votes in NAIA Men's Lacrosse Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) placed five teams in the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Top 10 Poll, announced by the national office on Wednesday.
In all, seven AAC teams received votes.
Keiser leads the way as it received five first-place votes and 60 voting points to land at No. 1. Webber International garnered one first-place vote and 51 points to come in at No. 2.
Cumberlands and Reinhardt are tied at No. 3 as both garnered 50 points. SCAD Savannah checks in at No. 9, picking up 27 voting points.
Meanwhile, Life and Point collected three and two points, respectively, and sit six and seven spots outside the top 10.
Poll Methodology:
- The poll is for publicity purposes only and has no weight or bearing in the selection process for national championship field consideration.
- A panel of head coaches representing each conference and Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) voted on the poll.
- The Top 10 is determined by a points system based on how each voter votes the best teams. A team receives 15 points for each first-place vote, 14 for second-place, 13 for third-place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a no-vote is considered a low rating) is removed.
- Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes".
