Cumberlands' Toohey Earns NAIA Defensive Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Michael Toohey of Cumberlands has been named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. He was selected based on his performances from March 18-24 and a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.
NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Michael Toohey, Cumberlands (Ky.) - SR - Goalkeeper
- Critical performances between the sticks last week for the Patriots, helping to extend their winning streak to a program-best eight games.
- Earning the start in both games, Toohey compiled 92.57 minutes in goal and picked up a pair of wins.
- Allowed an average of 2.58 goals while compiling a 77.8 save percentage over those two games.
