SCAD's Martinez Named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lucas Martinez of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) has been named the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. He was selected based on his performances from February 26- March 3 and was chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Lucas Martinez, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) - SO - Faceoff

• Was a big part in helping the Bees go 2-0 last week, which included an upset against No. 8 Madonna (Mich.).
• He was near perfect on faceoffs, going 19-of-20 at the X.
• Chipped in offensively as well with one goal and one assist.
