Week 2: AAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Lucas Martinez of SCAD Savannah and Will Rogers of Cumberlands are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 11.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Lucas Martinez - SCAD Savannah - Sophomore - Aurora, Ohio
- Helped SCAD Savannah to a 2-0 record on the week.
- Won 29 of his 34 face-off attempts, going 19-of-20 against Madonna (Mich.).
- Had a goal and an assist in the 11-10 win over Madonna.
- Recorded 19 groundballs.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Will Rogers - Cumberlands - Sophomore - Evansville, Ind.
- Tallied 9 goals and 8 assists in helping Cumberlands go 2-0 on the week.
- Posted 4 goals and 6 assists in a 25-4 win over Montreat
- Added 5 goals and 2 assists in an 18-6 win over Lawrence Tech (Mich.).
- Had 5 groundballs.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
