PENSACOLA, Fla. - Two Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) squads advanced to the semifinal round of the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational Tournament on Wednesday, but unfortunately, they each had to defeat a fellow AAC team to get there.
No. 4 seed Cumberlands defeated No. 5 seed Tennessee Wesleyan 8-7, while No. 2 seed Reinhardt won 16-6 over No. 7 seed Keiser.

- Thomas Fogarty netted five goals to lead the fourth-ranked Patriots past No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan 8-7 in the second quarterfinals of the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Invitational.
- Fogarty connected with the back of the cage twice in the first three minutes of the game to put Cumberlands in front.
- Tennessee Wesleyan responded with a pair of goals from Jaylen Steen off an assist from Zach Smiley to even the score 2-2 midway through the first quarter.
- Cumberlands added two more goals to take a 4-2 lead after the opening quarter. The Patriots Christian Vanover added a pair of man-up goals in the second quarter to put Cumberlands in front 6-2 at the break.
- Fogarty added his fourth goal of the contest to open the third quarter.
- Tennessee Wesleyan responded with four unanswered goals, including two from Kyle Gasior to bring the Bulldogs within a goal 7-6 with 14:16 remaining in the fourth quarter.
- The two teams traded goals over the final minutes as the Patriots defense forced a pair of turnovers in the closing minute for the 8-7 final.
- Cumberlands was led by Fogarty, who finished with five goals and six points, while Vanover added a hattrick. Will Settle made 14 saves in the win.
- Gasior, Jackson Lollis and Steen each finished with a pair of goals, while Gasier added seven ground balls. Austin Hall added ten saves as four Bulldogs tallied three ground balls apiece.
- Cumberlands advances to the semifinals against No. 1 Indiana Tech Thursday, May 12, at 4 p.m. CST.

- Reinhardt used an eight goal run to take control and defeat No. 7 Keiser 16-6 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Invitational.
- Keiser struck first as Max Heistand and Ryan Schwatz each netted a goal to give the Seahawks a 2-0 with 6:56 remaining.
- Reinhardt responded with three unanswered goals, including a goal and an assist by Cameron Cochran to make it 3-2 after the opening period.
- The two teams traded goals to begin the second quarter as the Eagles tallied three goals to extend their lead to 7-3 at halftime.
- Cochran added a goal to make it 8-3, however, the Seahawks took advantage of a penalty as Jack Weilandt add a man-up goal.
- Reinhardt added two goals in the final two minutes of the third quarter to extend their lead to 12-5.
- The Eagles continued to add to their lead with four unanswered goals to take an 16-5 advantage with 6:08 left.
- Keiser's Stafan Duckett added a goal in the closing minutes for the 16-6 final.
- The Eagles were led by Dillan Boussquet with six points, while Cameron Cochran tallied five points in the win. JR Sess went 14-26 on faceoffs with four ground balls.
- Keiser was led by Cole Stassi with a goal and two assists. Cole George made eight saves between the pipes as Cam Provines scooped six ground balls and won 12 faceoffs on the day.
