2023 AAC Men's Basketball Tournament

The top 10 teams advanced to the tournament, and the opening round will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The entire tournament is being played at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center & Conference Resort in Kingsport, Tenn.

Union is the No. 1 seed and receives an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

The tournament champion will receive an automatic berth to the national tournament. Should Union win the tournament, the regular-season runner-up will receive the second bid.

All games will be live-streamed on the AAC Digital Network for free. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students each day. To purchase tickets, click here.

Here are the seeds for the tournament:

  1. Union (26-1 overall, 24-0 AAC)
  2. Reinhardt (15-12, 15-9 AAC)*
  3. Montreat (17-10 overall, 15-9 AAC)*
  4. Tennessee Wesleyan (15-10 overall, 14-10 AAC)**
  5. Bryan (14-13 overall, 14-10 AAC)**
  6. Point (15-13 overall, 14-10 AAC)**
  7. Columbia International (14-13 overall, 13-11 AAC)
  8. Milligan (12-15 overall, 12-12 AAC)
  9. Truett McConnell (12-16 overall, 10-14)AAC)
  10. Bluefield (10-18 overall, 9-15 AAC)***

*-Reinhardt and Montreat split the season series. Therefore, we combined the results each team had between the 3 teams tied at No. 4. Reinhardt went a combined 4-2 against Tennessee Wesleyan, Bryan, and Point. Meanwhile, Montreat went a combined 2-4 against Tennessee Wesleyan, Bryan, and Point. Therefore, Reinhardt is the No. 2 seed and Montreat the No. 3 seed.
**-In combining the results of how each team did against the other two, Tennessee Wesleyan was 3-1 against Point and Bryan; Point was 2-2 against Tennessee Wesleyan and Bryan; and Bryan was 1-3 against Tennessee Wesleyan and Point. Therefore, Tennessee Wesleyan is the No. 4 seed. For the No. 5 seed, Bryan and Point went 1-1 against each other, so went we broke the tie by how they did against conference opponents beginning with the top of the standings. Both were 0-2 against Union, and both were 1-1 against Reinhardt. However, Bryan was 2-0 against Montreat, while Point was 0-2 against Montreat - thus giving Bryan the No. 5 seed and making Point the No. 6 seed.
***-There was also a tie for the No. 10 seed as both Bluefield and Johnson went 9-15. The teams split the season series, and both went 0-2 against Union, but Bluefield went 2-0 against Reinhardt and Johnson went 0-2, giving Bluefield the No. 10 seed.
