Pikeville Picked to Capture 2024-25 Men's Basketball Championship
WALESKA, Ga. - Pikeville is the team to beat in the hunt for the 2024-25 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Championship, according to the AAC Coaches' Preseason Poll released Thursday.
The men's basketball coaches of the AAC voted.
Pikeville collected nine first-place votes and amassed 178 points to land atop the poll. The Bears finished second in the regular season last year and advanced to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
Johnson earned one first-place vote and sits second with 146 points while Milligan is third with 145 points. Union Commonwealth (125 points) and Bryan (120) round out the top five. Union Commonwealth received three first-place votes.
The top 10 teams in the conference will advance to the 2024 AAC Tournament, which is set for Feb. 26-March 1 in Kingsport, Tenn.
