WALESKA, Ga. - Jalen Brinson of Columbia International is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the 13th edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 26.

• Scored 31 points and had 2 rebounds in a 90-88, overtime loss at Pikeville
• Collected his 1,000th career point in the game.
• Shot 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the field and 66.7 percent (4-of-6) from 3-point range.
• Had 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal on the week.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
