Week 8: AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Kyonte Thomas of Pikeville is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the eighth edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Jan. 22.
AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Kyonte Thomas - Pikeville - Junior - Bolingbrook, Ill.
- Averaged 27.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as Pikeville went 2-0 on the week.
- Netted 33 points and shot 68.8 percent (11-of-16 shots) in a 102-94, overtime win over Union.
- Added 22 points in a 97-84 win at Milligan.
- Shot 53.1 percent (17-of-32 shots) from the field and 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from 3-point range on the week.
- Had 11 rebounds, 12 assists, and 2 steals on the week.
- This is his second weekly honor of the season.
