WALESKA, Ga. - Markelo Sullivan of Union is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the first edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 20.

AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Markelo Sullivan - Union - Senior - Louisville, Ky.

• Averaged 25 points per game for Union as it went 2-0.
• Scored 21 points in an 84-81 win over Pikeville.
• Poured in 29 points in an 83-74 win at Johnson
• Shot 69 percent from the field (20-of-29).
• Recorded 2 double-doubles.
• Also averaged 10.5 rebounds.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
