WALESKA, Ga. - Sam Rochard of Tennessee Wesleyan and Noah Helton of Pikeville are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the 10th edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 29.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Sam Rochard - Tennessee Wesleyan - Senior - Williamsburg, Va.
- Tossed 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run in an 11-1 win against St. Andrews.
- Gave up 6 hits and 1 walk.
- Struck out 8 batters.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Noah Helton - Pikeville - Senior - Somerset, Ky.
- Batted .500 on the week as Pikeville went 3-2.
- Had 2 home runs and 6 RBIs on the week.
- Scored 10 runs.
- Posted a 1.100 slugging percentage as he had 2 doubles and 2 triples.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
