BLUEFIELD, Va. – Bluefield University baseball coach Mike White gained his 500th coaching victory Sunday, April 13 as the Bluefield University Rams came from behind and defeated Kentucky Christian University 14-13 at Bowen Field.

White took command of the Bluefield College program in 2006. The Rams soon became a fixture in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series. In 2009, White guided the Rams to a 39-14 record and the NCCAA Championship. The next season Bluefield was 41-16 and NCCAA runners-up. BU was a regular participant in the NCCAA Championships, representing the Mid-East Region.

During his tenure at Bluefield, White has coached numerous AAC All-Conference and NCCAA All-America players. His players have not only succeeded on the field but also in the classroom with many AAC All-Academic, NCCAA All-Academic, and NAIA Scholar Athletes.
