Week 9: AAC Baseball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Josh Hill of St. Andrews and Bryson Lofton of Bryan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the ninth edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 22.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Josh Hill - St. Andrews - Sophomore - Clayton, N.C.

  • Tossed 7 innings of no-hit ball as he and Ryan Cleary combined for a no-hitter in a 4-1 win over Johnson.
  • Allowed one unearned run on 3 walks and no hits.
  • Struck out 6 batters.
  • This is his first weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Bryson Lofton - Bryan - Junior - Calhoun, Ga.

  • Batted .583 on the week as Bryan went 2-1.
  • Had 4 home runs and 9 RBIs on the week.
  • Scored 7 runs.
  • Posted a 1.667 slugging percentage as he had 1 double.
  • This is his second weekly award this season.
