Week 7: AAC Baseball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Andrew Herbert of Reinhardt and Tommy Ramos are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the seventh edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 8.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Andrew Herbert - Reinhardt - Sophomore - San Clemente, Calif.
- Allowed 1 earned run in a 3-1 win over No. 1 Southeastern (Fla.).
- Pitched 8 2/3 innings and allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in earning the victory.
- Struck out 6 batters.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Tommy Ramos - Montreat - Sophomore - Hialeah, Fla.
- Batted .700 on the week as Montreat went 1-2.
- Had 2 home runs and 10 RBIs on the week.
- Scored 2 runs.
- Posted a 1.700 slugging percentage as he had 2 doubles and 1 triple.
- Walked 3 times for an on-base percentage of .769.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
