Week 6: AAC Baseball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Blake Peyton of Tennessee Wesleyan and Marcerio Allen of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the sixth edition of the weekly honors for the 2024 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 1.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Blake Peyton - Tennessee Wesleyan - Senior - San Diego, Calif.
- Recorded a save and picked up a win on the week for Tennessee Wesleyan.
- Struck out the side in the 1 inning he pitched in an 8-6 win over Bryan to get the save.
- Gave up no runs on 1 hit and 1 walk in 5 innings of work in a 5-1 win over Bryan.
- Struck out 10 batters on the week.
- This is his second weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Marcerio Allen - Reinhardt - Junior - Decatur, Ga.
- Batted .556 in helping Reinhardt go 3-0 on the week.
- Had 2 home runs and 7 RBIs on the week.
- Scored 6 runs.
- Posted a 1.444 slugging percentage.
- Walked 4 times for an on-base percentage of .592.
- Stole 2 bases.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
