Week 3: AAC Baseball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Alex Galvez of Reinhardt and Jude Drzemiecki of St. Andrews are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 11.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Alex Galdez - Reinhardt - Sophomore - Panama City, Panama
- Tossed 7 shutout innings in an 11-4 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.
- Allowed no runs on 3 hits and 2 walks with five strikeouts.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Jude Drzemiecki - St. Andrews - Senior - Roanoke, Va.
- Batted .600 in helping St. Andrews go 3-1 on the week.
- Had 2 home runs and 7 RBIs on the week.
- Scored 3 runs.
- Had 1 double and 2 home runs in posting a 1.300 slugging percentage.
- Walked 2 times for an on-base percentage of .667.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
