Week 2: AAC Baseball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Hunter Rossi of Union and Braden Spano of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 4.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Hunter Rossi - Union - Senior - Newton, N.J.
- Posted a complete-game shutout in a 4-0 win over Johnson.
- In 9 innings pitched, he allowed 1 hit and 5 walks with 8 strikeouts.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Braden Spano - Milligan - Senior - Greeneville, Tenn.
- Batted .500 in helping Milligan go 4-0 on the week.
- Had 2 home runs and 13 RBIs on the week.
- Scored 6 runs.
- Had 2 doubles in posting a .944 slugging percentage.
- Walked 1 time for an on-base percentage of .526.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
