Week 1: AAC Baseball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Blake Peyton of Tennessee Wesleyan and Bryson Lofton of Bryan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 26.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Blake Peyton - Tennessee Wesleyan - Senior - San Diego, Calif.
- Struck out 11 in 5 innings of work in a 7-3 win over Montreat.
- Allowed 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, and 2 walks in the win.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Bryson Lofton - Bryan - Junior - Calhoun, Ga.
- Batted .545 in helping Bryan go 2-1 on the week.
- Had 2 home runs and 7 RBIs on the week.
- Scored 6 runs.
- Had 2 doubles and a triple in posting a 1.455 slugging percentage.
- Walked 5 times for an on-base percentage of .688
- This is his first weekly award this season.
