Randi Wimpy
Reinhardt University
Softball
Class of 2025
Randi Wimpy came into the AAC carrying a big bat and left her mark as one of the best to take to the diamond. The Reinhardt University catcher led the NAIA in home runs (22), was second in slugging percentage (.988), total bases (171), third in RBI (72), and fourth in runs scored (73) as she anchored the squad that finished 46-10 and third in the NAIA Softball World Series.
Wimpy completed her three-year career at Reinhardt with 43 home runs, 193 RBI, 181 runs scored, 194 hits, 55 doubles, and nine triples. She boasted a .440 career batting average and .898 slugging percentage.
Most astounding is the fact that Wimpy was named the AAC Player of the Year and an NAIA First Team All-American not once, but three times. Wimpy helped Reinhardt win or share the AAC regular-season title three times and the tournament crown twice. Reinhardt posted an impressive 52-8 conference record during Wimpy's three seasons.
Wimpy earned a spot on the AAC All-Defensive Team twice as well. She logged a .972 career fielding percentage and threw out 23 would-be base stealers.
Wimpy is the head coach of Middle Georgia State University.
