Jim Cradic
Women's Basketball
Assignor of Officials/Referee
Class of 2025
At the conclusion of the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament, Jim Cradic wrapped up over six decades of service to the AAC as an official as the women’s basketball assignor of referees.
Mr. Cradic’s time with the conference predates the league’s transformation to what became the AAC in the early-2000’s. In fact, he worked in the VSAC which morphed into the TVAC, which eventually became the AAC in 2001.
He has officiated three different sports at the NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and JUCO levels as well as football at the NCAA Division I, FCS, and DII levels. He served as a TSSAA official for over 30 years and was the TSSAA Supervisor for the last 30 years.
Mr. Cradic was also a professional boxing referee.
In the 1970s, he started working women’s basketball in the AIWA when there were only three teams in the state of Tennessee. He started working in NCAA and NAIA women’s basketball during this team.
In 1992, Mr. Cradic became the assignor for women’s basketball for the TVAC and has held this post to this day even during the conference’s transformation into becoming the AAC.
In honor and recognition of his decades of service, the AAC is proud to welcome Mr. Jim Cradic to the Hall of Fame.
