AAC Sees 8 Individuals Earn NAIA All-American Honors at Swimming Nationals

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The 2022 NAIA Women's Swimming & Diving National Championship Meet recently took place, and the Appalachian Athletic Conference was well represented.
Milligan finished fifth with 262 points, while Brenau checked in at 19th with 37 points.
In all, seven Milligan swimmers and one Brenau swimmer earned NAIA All-American honors.
From Milligan, the All-Americans are:
- Maggie Blazo – 200 Free – 4th, 1:53.64
- Tyler Cates – 100 Back – 5th, 57.14
- Cates – 200 Back – 4th, 2:03.53
- Gabby MacPherson – 1650 Free – 4th, 17:40.19
- MacPherson – 200 Fly – 7th, 2:07.52
- Cates, Bre Coley, MacPherson, Blazo – 200 Medley Relay – 6th, 1:48.94
- Cates, Kaylee Williams, MacPherson, Blazo – 400 Medley Relay – 3rd, 3:53.90
- Blazo, Emma Rae Phillips, Liz Mahan, MacPherson – 200 Free Relay – 5th, 1:38.18
- Blazo, Mahan, Cates, MacPherson – 400 Free Relay – 5th, 3:35.13
- Blazo, Cates, Mahan, MacPherson – 800 Free Relay – 4th, 7:41.84
For Brenau, Baylee Blackmon earned All-American honors by placing sixth in the 100 Fly with a time of 57.18 seconds.
