Week 10: AAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Addison Smith of Tennessee Wesleyan and Anna-Lena Strauss of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

This is the 10th edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 6.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Addison Smith - Tennessee Wesleyan - Sophomore - Athens, Tenn.

• Helped anchor the Tennessee Wesleyan defense as it allowed only 1 goal in going 2-0 for the week.
• Scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Reinhardt, clinching the No. 2 seed for Tennessee Wesleyan.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Anna-Lena Strauss - Tennessee Wesleyan - Freshman - Heusweiler, Germany

• Had 4 goals and 2 assists in helping Tennessee Wesleyan go 2-0 on the week.
• Recorded the equalizing goal in the 2-1 win against Reinhardt
• Tallied 3 goals and 2 assists in a 10-0 win over St. Andrews.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
