Pikeville's Bush Collects NAIA Defensive Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rachel Bush of Pikeville (Ky.) has been named the NAIA Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. She was selected based on their performances from December 2-8 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

 

NAIA Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week

Rachel Bush, Pikeville (Ky.) – So.– Forward

  • Totaled 17 rebounds, with 14 of those on the defensive end in two games
  • Had 13 defensive rebounds and eight blocks in a win over Kentucky Christian
  • Averaged 19 points in two contests
  • Led Pikeville (Ky.) to wins over Kentucky Christian and Truett McConnell
