Week 10: AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Gabriel Rivera of Montreat is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the 10th edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 5.

AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Gabriel Rivera - Montreat - Sophomore - Orlando, Fla.

• Averaged 21.5 points and 5.0 rebounds as Montreat went 2-0 on the week.
• Scored a career-high 23 points in an 88-82 win against Tennessee Wesleyan, shooting 60 percent (9-of-15) from the field.
• Had 20 points and 8 rebounds in an 81-77, overtime win at Campbellsville (Ky.).
• Recorded 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals on the week.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
